An Authored disk can include custom menus, music, web site links, subtitles, and precise chapter points. Our unique hardware and software allows us to author a DVD with ease and then write the disk image to a DVD or DLT (Digital Linear Tape) for replication.

Express DVDs are created with a stand-alone machine, which records a program straight to disk. An express disk provides its own menu and chapter points approximately 5 minutes apart.

Stafford Video Productions offers both DVD and CD recording.

A single-sided DVD (Digital Video Disk) holds up to seven times more than a CD-ROM. That transfers into just over two hours of high-quality video for your needs.

DVD delivers much better color and clarity than a VHS, partly because the resolution found on a DVD is twice that of a VHS tape.

The audio portion of our CDs and DVDs is recorded in Dolby Digital Sound, offering a very clean, high-quality audio recording.

We use the finest DVD-R disks available. Our DVD titles will work on most brand name DVD players and/or any computer wtih a DVD-ROM drive.

PHOTOS TO VIDEO TRANSFER

SIMPLE TRANSFER:

$1.50 per photo / $40.00 Minimum with NO music

INSTRUCTIONS: Assemble your photos in chronological order. Please number them on the back in the order that you want them transferred. Use a 3M "Post It", tape and paper, or a non-permanent marker. Then just bring them into our studio. Please tell us what date you need your job completed by.

TIMING: All photos are transferred at a fixed duration which you select. Most customers prefer their photos to be on the screen for 7 to 8 seconds each. Normally we use a one second dissolve between each photo. A dissolve is a transition where as one photo fades to black while another photo fades in at the same time.

SIZE: We can transfer almost any size photo from I" x I" to 16" x 20".

CROPPING: Vertical photos will be cropped on the side to illuminate the borders. All photos are cropped to our best judgment. Please let us know if you want to eliminate subject matter (e.g. ex-husband or girlfriend). Also if you want special cropping use "post its" to frame the photo the way you want it to appear. Depending on the location of the subject we can zoom in or out of a photo.

ZOOM/PAN/ROTATE: Using our high-resolution scanner, we can make your images move across the screen or zoom in or out. Perfect for group shots. The cost is $10.00 each.

MUSIC: We can precisely edit a CD or audio cassette to your photos.

TITLES: $3.00 each with a minimum of $10.00 Titles can be very important. We can roll or fade in a title anywhere on the transfer. Titles can be superimposed or placed over a blank or colored background.

DVD Option: Your photos are transferred using the latest in computer technology. Our prices include recording your transfer to high grade VHS tape. To better preserve this recording (for our lifetime) we suggest you have the transfer mastered to DVD disks. The additional cost to master to DVD is $20.00 or you may master to mini DV tape for an additional $20.00.
